The Vacationland Film Festival is accepting films for its third annual event, August 21-23, 2026 at the City Theater in Biddeford, Maine. Founded in 2024, the Vacationland Film Festival is an opportunity to celebrate the beauty of our beloved state of Maine while enjoying visual storytelling from Maine and beyond.
The festival showcases the work of Maine filmmakers of all stages while also encouraging visitors to visit the beautiful Biddeford-Saco-Old Orchard Beach region with its exciting, renewed, downtowns and relaxing beaches, at the peak of the vacation season in August.
Films (or even film recommendations) are most welcome and can be submitted here.
There is no submissions fee this year, but please do send us at least a trailer to review as well as a brief note about your film and why you’d like to screen it here at Vacationland. We hope to have all films selected by Memorial Day so you can make your summer plans.
For the actual screening in August, films should be in a format that we can play from a file on a Mac laptop or a BluRay. No DCP yet.
